How You Can Help Prevent Injury to Yourself

What to do if You Feel a Repetitive Motion Injury

Stretches

1.  If you haven’t done so already, contact your Ergonomic Evaluator and get an evaluation of your workstation. If your workstation is not ergonomically correct, the evaluator will adjust items and order products as necessary.

2.   If you feel your RMI is work related, contact Human Resources immediately.

3.  TAKE BREAKS! This truly is the number one challenge we face at Geomatrix as the nature of our product, written documents, require computer use.

4.  Educate yourself. Read the section of this site on Preventing Injury to Yourself. There are also many books written on the subject, as well as endless information on the internet (but take breaks when you are using the web!).
